It’s not always easy to get a big dog safely in or out of a car, especially if it’s a truck, SUV or van. Enter the dog ramp.
Jeep’s version -- the Tri-Fold Pet Auto Ramp -- folds up to the size of a thick briefcase and has a handle, making it easy to carry and to store in the car when it’s not in use.
Unfolded, it has a rough surface to provide traction for a dog’s paws. A safety tether and rubberized grippers on the bottom ensure that it stays in place as dogs weighing up to 200 pounds walk up or down.
It can also be used as an alternative to steps in and out of the house for dogs with arthritis. Because we have dogs weighing only 15 pounds, it’s easy enough to lift them in and out of the car, but for people with larger dogs who need assistance, this 21-inch wide by 70-inch long ramp is a good choice.
